You can get 26 percent of your recommended potassium value, while getting more than 10 percent of your values of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper and manganese. Even though those versions can taste better, you have to avoid them for your health.

So before you throw that big bag of potatoes in the garbage, wash them off and throw them in the oven. The skin has a lot of benefits while the inside is tasty and filling. Just take it easy on the butter when you bake that potato.
